TitleReferee's report by William Allen Miller, on a paper 'On the condition of certain elements at the moment of chemical change' by Benjamin Collins Brodie
Date27 July 1850
DescriptionRecommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. The important points could be more concise, the introduction is too long. The discussions in the paper are more speculative than is usual for papers included in the Philosophical Transactions. However, the subject matter is new, and it is hoped the author will follow them up before too long. The results are important enough to be recorded in the Philosophical Transactions, but perhaps not in their current form.
