TitleSecond referee's report by Hugh Longbourne Callendar, on a paper 'The effect of temperature on the viscosity of air' by W G Shilling and A E Laxton
Date31 December 1928
DescriptionSectional committee: Physics

Not recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Is not satisfied with the newly submitted figure. Requests a comparison between the current results and those of Williams, but the authors have only provided a comparison with the results of Edwards, which are not in dispute. Refers to work of Robert Andrews Millikan. Encloses a rough plot from the respective tables. Requests that the authors provide a comparison with the results of Williams, which he asked for previously.
