TitleReferee's report by George Busk, on a paper 'On the osteology of the genus glyptodon' by Thomas Henry Huxley
Date20 May 1864
DescriptionRecommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society'. Refers to the specimen housed at the Royal College of Surgeons. Discusses the historical introductions which are found at the beginning of many papers, which some find out of place in the Philosophical Transactions. The referee, however, finds that in some cases they are valuable additions to the paper if they are concise. Considers the historical introduction of the current paper to be both concise and indispensible, due to the rare nature of the specimens discussed.
