LevelItem
TitleReferee's report by Stanley Wells Kemp, on a paper 'The male sexual stage in salmon parr (Salmo salar L. juv.)' by James Herbert Orton, J W Jones and Gillian M King
Date6 December 1937
DescriptionSectional Committee: Zoology

Letter - Does not feel qualified to comment on the subject of fresh-water fish. Asks permission to send the paper to W J M Menzies, which Allen [?] agrees with.

Report - Recommended for publication in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London'. Has conferred with W J M Menzies who also has a favourable opinion. Suggests removing the reference to Part I from the title, as there is no certainty of a second part. Thinks the authors should have obtained another year's worth of observations before submitting the paper.

[Published in the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society of London']

Endorsed on verso as received 21 December 1937 [report form] and 7 December 1937 [letter on paper].
