TitleReferee's report by James Wilfred Cook, on a paper 'The growth-inhibitory and carcinogenic properties of 4-aminostilbene and derivatives' by Alexander Haddow, R J C Harris, George Armand Robert Kon and E M F Roe
Date18 November 1947
DescriptionSectional committee: Chemistry

Recommended for publication in Philosophical Transactions. The paper should be considerably shortened. The amount of results is enormous but he isn't in favour of the other referee's solution of making a microfilm of the paper. It contains much repetition and digression which makes the paper bulky. The work is of value but it is impossible to know how useful it will be.

[Published in Philosophical Transactions A, 1948].
