TitleReferee's report by Hugo Muller, on a paper 'On allotropic or active nitrogen and on the complete synthesis of ammonia' by George Stillingfleet Johnson
Date11 December 1881
DescriptionRecommended for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society', in part. Finds the experimental method difficult to understand. The experiments in the paper have already been covered by the author in the Journal of the Chemical Society, and do not require publishing by the Royal Society. Refers to work by Donkin [William Fishburn Donkin?] and Henri Étienne Sainte-Claire Deville. Suggests the second part of the paper be published as it stands, with the first part forming a short note.
