TitleLetter from Thomas Gold to Dr A H Hibbs, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, 4800 Oak Grove Drive, Pasadena, California 91103
Date14 September 1964
DescriptionThanks Hibbs for the cheque which he will use for private moon surface experimentation. Believes that the upper surface of 'my dust' has been seen and that the Ranger images show a homogenous, fine grained material, not rock. Refers Hibbs to his Nature article. Hopes that the next Ranger will be sent to highlands and he is preparing detailed descriptions and models of what he expects it to find.
