Also contains a patent specification and report by Thomas Gold for a landfall predictor, Nov 1944-Mar 1945. As part of Gold's engineering work he developed this cartographic instrument for use with radar navigation. There are also three black and white photographs showing the landfall predictor. The file also contains a letter from McGeorge Bundy at Harvard University to Thomas Gold, dated 28 November 1956, saying that he was delighted that Gold was going to join the Astronomy Department and the Harvard College Observatory.
