Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to Messrs. J. Russell & Sons Returns proofs of the photographs which Messrs J. Russell & Sons recently took of him. Expresses which image he likes best but complains that overall, they are not as good as the images previously taken. Comments it is probably due to them being done by electric light, which gives him a somewhat dazzled and strained condition of the eyes, expressing a preference for being photographed in daylight instead. 15 March 1928
