Encloses a copy of a letter from Brittain to himself, of the same date. Additionally encloses a copy of a letter to Mr. Brittain that he is sending shortly [enclosures not present]. States that as Mr. Brittain, in the letter to Murray, says he does not think any reference in the Quarterly Review will be necessary, proposes that he sends Murray a short communication of his own on the subject, which he will find a way of publishing in the next issue. Comments on Mr. Brittain's patronising letter to him, with its request for a photograph.</dc:description>
