<dc:title>Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, 40 Chester Square, London, S. W. 1., to Sir Alexander Gibb</dc:title>
<dc:description>Informs that Sir Robert Hadfield, having seen the Duke of Connaught, Sir Malcolm Murray, saw Mr Menzies and said that the Duke did not wish to personally intervene in the matter but that it would be best if their Chairman would see Lord Askwith and tell him of their views, but failing this, that the best course would be to send the drafted letter to Lord Askwith personally. Notifies he has seen the Chairman on the matter, who refuses to see Askwith, therefore with the approval of other signatories, the signed letter has been delivered to Askwith yesterday evening.</dc:description>
