Referring to Hornblower's card in the Times, the qualification from the United States Geological Survey memoir and Mr O. E. Meiner, in the introduction to the same, is taken from a paper by Professor [John Walter] Gregory, read before the Public Works, Board and Transport Congress. States he has given practically the whole of the quotation given in Professor Gregory’s paper. Unsure where copies of the paper can be obtained. 30 January 1928
