Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to The Editor, The Sunday Times Writing in relation to the Swinging Pendant, expressing his surprise that anyone has paid attention to the cock and bull story from Naples, told in a recent column. Comments that any tyro in physics could devise numerous secret methods by which the trick of keeping a pendant in motion could be accomplished and would never be detected under the conditions that exist in Neapolitan Catholic churches. 14 April 1929
