Letter from [Alan Archibald Campbell] Swinton, to The Editor, The Electrician Considering an editorial paragraph on 'The Incandescent Lamp Jubilee', suggests that the first one who made the most fundamental invention is Lane Fox Pitt. Informs that he has just written for the Free Press a Review of Sir Joseph Swan's recently published memoirs, in which he is sure no one will suggest that he has not done him justice as a great and original inventor but the carbon filament lamps of all the three inventors are now entirely obsolete, further discussing this point. 6 May 1929
