Informs that at their most recent meeting, the Council, decided to begin with the process of comissioning oil paintings of [Michael] Faraday and [William Thomson] Kelvin for the Lecture Theatre, delegating the question of artists to a sub-committee. Reminds Swinton of his previous suggestion made during a General Purposes Committe meeting, of proposing Mr Menzies as a suitable artist, requesting a sample of his work. 22July 1925
