Unpublished manuscript, regarding telescopes by John Boole Boole writes of a method of increasing the power of a telescope without compromising distinctness of the view by separating the two parts of the achromatic eyepiece. An ink inscription on covering page reads 'To be returned to the author if required.' A graphite inscription on second page reads 'Rec'd...from [Bromhead?]. Minor corrections appear in ink.
