Unpublished paper, 'Observations on the physiology of the nerves of sensation illustrated by a case of paralysis of the fifth pair of nerves' by John Bishop Bishop shares his observations on the v-trigeminal cranial nerve and its influence on sight, smell, taste and 'common sensibility'. Includes a case study and details of post-mortem examination in which the patient was found to have a tumour on the optic nerve. There are two diagrams separate to the text.
