  <dc:description>Fischer provides his observations and recollections of the anatomy of his spider specimens, including tarantulas and Solpuga [Solifugae], held at the University of Moscow which were lost in a fire. 

An ink inscription at top of first page, underlined twice, reads 'Not to be printed.' A footnote at the bottom of the first page reads 'This letter is written in the year 1812 after the burning of the University of Moscow.'
