        Permission was granted for the manuscript of Newton's Principia to be transferred temorarily from the Society's apartments to the Public Record Office for the purpose of rebinding.
8f.   Rutherford Portrait
       Permission was granted to the 'National Geographic Magazine' to photograph and reproduce the Society's oil painting fo Lord Rutherford by Oswald Birley, subject to the usual acknowledgements being made upon publication
8g.   Purkyne Certificate
         Permission was granted to Mr B Pollak to photgraph and reproduce the certificate of candidature of Johannes Evangelista Purkyne (FRS 1850), subject to the usual acknowledgements being made upon publication
8h.   Notes and Records, Archives
        Permission was granted to professor  G R de Beer to utilize in a forthcoming book  of essays his article on Rodolph Valltravers printed in 'Notes adn Records', Volume 4;  and also to make use of a manuscript by Charles Kite, deposited in the Society's archives in 1794, in connexion with an article he was writing on the death of Edward Gibbon;  subject to the usual acknowledgements being made upon publication in each case
