      Permisison was grnated to the National Geographic Magazine to ?photgraph and reproduce the Society's oil paintings of Rober Boyle by F Kerseboom,  Sir Humphry Davy by Sir Thomas Lawrence,  Michael Faraday by A Blaikley and James Prescott Joule by John Collier, subject tot eh usual acknowledgmentws being made upong publication.
vi.   Gift 
        Reported a gift by Imperial Chemical Industries Ltd of a brass plaque bearing an impression of the Society's arms which had been cut by explosive (the Munro effect).
