<dc:title>Letter from Henry George Lyons, Science Museum, South Kensington, London, to Edwin Deller</dc:title>
<dc:description>The Geological Government Grant Committee took the view that before £50 was expended on microphotographs of flint surface fractures, there should be some evidence that the method would be profitable. They recommended a grant of £10 to provide four sets of three photographs. In the case sent by Reid Moir, there is a difference between the photographs which is readily recognizable. If he had provided four sets to show the same distinctions it might have provided the evidence desired by the committee. </dc:description>
