<dc:title>Letter from E [Edwin] Ray Lankester, British Museum, Cromwell Road, to the Secretary of the Joint Antarctic Finance Committee [?Alfred Bray Kempe], the Royal Society </dc:title>
<dc:description>In order to prepare the results from the National Antarctic Expedition for publication, the trustees of the British Museum have obtained specialist assistance to work on various parts of the collections. In most cases, these men are offering their services for free, but the Museum has received a few requests for payment and requests for assistance with purchasing scientific apparatus and out of pocket expenses. As the trustees have no funds for the payment of such expenses, the letter appeals to the Joint Antarctic Finance Committee for £250. </dc:description>
