Letter from [Peter] Jeffrey Mackie, to Robert Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society Understands the Government's refusal to permit the expedition lead by Mr [John] Roscoe to Uganda at the present time [during World War I], and thinks they should defer to the Government's wishes and delay it. Thinks that the £1500 Mackie sent for the expedition should be put into National Bonds or some other loan. Encloses a copy of the terms of the expedition [CD/50/13]. 27 November 1917
