Copy letter from [Henry Cort Harold] Carpenter; Royal School of Mines, Imperial College of Science and Technology, South Kensington, London; to James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society States that the Alloys of Iron Research Committee held a meeting at the National Physical Laboratory yesterday [1 April], and saw the work carried out by Dr [Walter] Rosenhain and his collaborators. Having seen this, thinks that the Royal Society should offer a £500 grant from Sir John Dewrance's own fund to assist this work. 2 April 1924
