<dc:title>Letter from [Robert Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society], to Sir Joseph Thomson, OM, President of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Explains an incident in relation to the War Sectional Committees. Explains that the Privy Council has been asked by the Chemical Committee for a grant of £600 or £700 for conducting an investigation into dyes for certain sensitizing photographic plates, to be conducted under the direction of the Royal Society's Chemical Committee. But notes that the Chemical Committee has no status or machinery for receiving and administering money for such a purpose. Has discussed this with Dr [James C.] Philip. </dc:description>
