Letter from Frederick William Edridge Green, Consultative Branch, Mecantile Marine Department, Board of Trade, 68 Victoria Street, London, to [William Bate] Hardy Professor Starling has advised Green to send the enclosures, given to him by the Board of Trade when he showed Hardy's letter to the heads of department. He has not yet decided whether to publish the statement. He notes that his paper on colour blindness tests was read before the Royal Society on 6 February 1890 and the Society did not lose time in communicating with the Board of Trade, which is not consistent with the Society's position.
