<dc:title>Letter from Hugh Frank Newall, Madingley Rise, Cambridge, to 'Dear Astronomer Royal' [Frank Watson Dyson]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Describing damage to a 20-inch mirror, which was received in that condition at South Kensington - a flake of about 2 1/4 inches had been knocked off it [accompanied by a small sketch]. There is no tube, but just the mirror in a framing cell, a polar axis and fork, and a declination circle. It would not be used for next year's eclipse. Another 20-inch mirror is in Professor Callendar's keeping. </dc:description>
