<dc:title>Letter from Richard Tetley Glazebrook, National Physical Laboratory, Bushy House, Teddington, Middlesex, to Joseph Larmor, the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>He notes proceedings relating to the magnetic observatory. Glazebrook does not think the committee of 21 March 1901 ever met, there was only an informal preparatory meeting. He has discussed matters with Rucker and Foster and with the President and felt sure that when Sir C. Boyle asked him to meet Sir Francis Mowatt on 2 April that his committee would approve his action in agreeing to proposals. Mr. George White of Bristol had been to Sir Michael Hicks Beach and he had said that permission was to be given. All that is required is that his Executive Committee approve plans next week and then Larmor should be able to write in the name of the Royal Society. If the Treasury cannot find £5,000 they will have to consider what to do. </dc:description>
