  <dc:description>Asks if any reply has been sent to the Foreign Office letter forwarding a request from the Norwegian Government for co-operation in Arctic investigations by means of a geophysical expedition to Jan Mayen. He brought this to the attention of the Gassiott Committee in October. The committee sent it on to President and Council, who referred it to the National Council for Geodesy and Geophysics. He has heard no more.  </dc:description>
