<dc:title>Letter from James R. Upton, Society of Apothecaries, to Sir George Gabriel Stokes, with a copy reply, Lensfield Cottage, Cambridge </dc:title>
<dc:description>Sending copy correspondence with Dr. Liveing. If an interview is necessary, the Society of Apothecaries would appoint a representative to meet with the Royal Society and Royal College of Physicians.

With a reply from Stokes stating that the Royal Society did not initiate a change in the status of Chelsea Physic Garden, but formed a committee to consider the matter and was willing to meet representatives of other bodies. Since any proposed sale is suspended, Stokes considers the matter to be ended. </dc:description>
