<dc:title>Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, the Royal Society, Burlington House, London, to Edmond Fitzmaurice, 1st Baron Fitmaurice, Under Secretary of State, Foreign Office</dc:title>
<dc:description>President and Council express gratification that sleeping sickness will now be the subject of international co-operation, since the disease has long been investigated by the Royal Society. The Society will nominate a representative to the proposed British Bureau, once constituted. Royal Society's rooms and clerical staff are fully occupied, and therefore it may not be practicable to comply with suggestions to utilise these resources. The Society will go into the matter carefully and render all assistance within its power.
