Letter from George Cockburn Henderson, University of Adelaide, to 'Dear Stirling' [Edward Charles Stirling] In reference to Bragg's letter, Eitel's request to the Royaol Society was inspired by Mawson. The Executive find that they are about £9,000 short and it would be a relief to Mawson if this could be found in his absence. A contribution from the Royal Society would recognise the scientific merits of the expedition, and would help to raise the additional amount.
