Manuscript, 'An enquiry into a discovery said to have been made by Signor Valsalva of Bologna, of an excretory duct from the glandula renalis to the epididymis' by John Ranby Ranby details his search for the excretory duct leading from the glandula renalis [adrenal gland], discovered by Anton Maria Valsalva. Ranby is unable to find it and wonders if Valsalva mistook the arteries leading to the glandula renalis for this duct.
