Paper, 'Account of the worm which came out of his wife's ear which worm he presented to the Royall Society' by John Rogers Rogers recounts a story of his wife suffering from extremely severe headaches, initially in her face and eye and eventually in her right ear. Rogers attempted applying a hot roasted garlic clove to her ear, and then inserted a mixture of various hot oils into her ear. A worm then crawled out, which Rogers preserved in a sort of spirit.
