Paper, 'A further account of the bones of animals being made red by aliment only' by Mr John Belchier Belchier's follow-up on his earlier paper regarding turning the bones of hogs red by feeding them bran that had been boiled with printed calico fabric, found at CLP/12ii/66. Belchier confirms via experimentation that the dyeing agent in the fabric is madder root.
