Paper, regarding observations of the tides at Plymouth in 1667 by Samuel Colepresse Colepresse describes how the diurnal tides from about the latter end of March till the latter end of September are about a foot higher (perpendicular, which is alwayes to be understood) in the evening, than in the morning. He states that this research was in response to queries proposed in the Philosophical Transactions.
