Minutes of the last meeting were read

Resolved;
1.   Thanks to the President and Managers of the Royal Institution for the 'obliging and liberal manner in which they have acceded to the wish of the Committee by placing at its disposal a part of their premises for the erection of a furnace and the conduct of experiments on a small scale
2.   That previous to incurring further expense in the manufacture of [?] Glass for optical purposes the Board of Longitude be applied to, to authorise a personal application to the relations of the late Mr Guinand, with a view to obtaining that portion of information which they may possess beyond ordinary Glass Manufacturers.
