Minutes of the last meeting were read

Captain Beaufort, Captain Sabine and Mr Herschel reported on their witnessing the filling of two thermometers, described in detail.

Resolved, that Mr Troughton be required to furnish the Committee with an accurate standard Thermometer of his own construction, accompanied with a description of the process employed in its filling and production. 

The Committee then returned to discussion of the subjects raised at their last meeting.</dc:description>
