Joint Secretaries; Mr H C Rockham, Ministry of Education; Dr D C Martin (Royal Society

Sir Ronald Adam and Sir James Chadwick attended by invitation.  Mr H L Verry attended in place of Sir Ben Lockspeiser, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.  Mr F R Cowell, Ministry of Education, and Dr A King, Department of Scientific and Industrial Reserch, also attended.

The Chairman welcomed the new members of the Committee.

        The Comittee urged that the United Kingdom should speedily ratify the agreement with UNESCO on the free flow of educational, scientific and cultural materials. '
