Professor J H Taylor.     The Chairman in opening the meting said how deeply he regretted the circumstances thqt had brought him to chair this Commitee and he was sure that Professor Taylor in all his spheres of activity would not be missed more than as Chairman of the NAtinal Committee for Geology.  Membvers of the Committee recorded their great appreciation of Professor Taylor's work in connexion with the Committee and joined in this expression of widefelt sorrow at his loss.
