2.   Terms of reference and membership

It was reported that the British National Committee on Space Research at its meeting held on 8 March 1960 confirmed the setting up of a UK Scout I Working Group of the Design of Experiments Subcommittee with the following terms of reference;
1.   To initiate all the necessary action in connection with the experiments to be launched in UK Scout satellite I
2.   To report to the Design of Experiments Subcommittee of the British National Committee on Space Research.

Membership of the Group is as follows;
Mr M O Robins (Chairman);  Dr R L F Boyd;  Dr H Elliot;  Professor J Sayers;  Dr A P Willmore; other members being co-opted as and when necessary

3a   Information on data requirements
3b   Review of the minimum UK date requirements
3c   Sequencing
3d   Output Power Level 
3e   Core Storage System
3f   Provision of Sketches and Data
3g   Responsibility for providing Sequencer (NASA Item XII)

3i   UK Distribution of Payload Manual (NASA Item XIV)

      It was agreed that the next meeting should be held at a mutually convenient date to be decided later. </dc:description>
