3.   Space Research Grant Applications
3a   Application by Professor A C B Lovell
        Consideration was given to an applicatin (FF/1(60)0 by Professor AC BLovell for a grant of £2,500 for the tracking of satellites and space probes at Jodrell Bank during 1960/61.   The applilcation, which was for the continuation of a grant by the Royal Society, was approved by the Working Group.
3b   Application by Dr R L F Boyd
        Consideratin was given to an applicatin (FF/2(60)) by Dr R L F Boyd for a grant of £8,880 for a programme of development and use of photelectric satellite tracking equipment at University College London,during 1960/63.  The application, which was for the continuation of a grant by the Royal Society, was approved by the WorkingFroup.  It was noted that some of the equipment might beset up alongside the kinetheodolite at the Meteorological Office station at Orendi, Malta.
4.   Date of next meeting
      It was agreed that the remining items of agenda should be held over to a further meeting of the Group which it was agreed to hold at 10.30 am on Wednesday 232 March 1960. '</dc:description>
