Dr Pagel introduced Dr David S Evans, from the Royal Observtory, Cape ofGood Hope, but at present working at the Royal Greenwich Observatory, Herstmonceaux.  it was agreed that he should attend this and subsequent meetingsduring the absence of Dr Pagel in the USA.

12.   Liege Astrophysical Conference in July 1960 
        It was reported that the Liege Astrophysical conference in July 1960 would be on 'The far ultraviolet spectra of astronomical bodies'.  The Chairman stated that Professor Massey had asked him to present a report on the UK programme of work on stellar spectra and that Dr Willmore would review UK solar work.

13.   Date of next meeting
        It wasagreed that the next meeting of the Working Group would be held at 10.30am on Wednesday 4 Mayand that the Technical Panel should meet the same afternoon. Itf it was necessary meantime to give urgent consideration to Professor McGees's financial application this could be arranged by correspondence. '
