10. Future of the Commitee
The Chairman advised members of the Council request to Royal Socirety committees to review their size in the interests of economy and efficiency. It was agreed that the discussion on the cmpaign for comparative measurements of the Earth's rotation and the problems associated with the Orroral lunar laser ranger demonstrated the need for the Committee to remain in being. After reviewing the current membership, it was concluded that the size of the Committee should not be changed, and that there was no need of representation from the Ordnance Survey which was withdrawing from the operation of the Hewitt cameras.

11. Next meeting
It was agreed that the next meeting should be held when the need arose, this being a function of develoopments with respect to the satellite laser proposal, and to the draft scheme for the IAU campaigns on observations of the Earth's rotation, which would be circulated - after the meeting on IAU Working Group in early October 1978 - to all potential participants.</dc:description>
