Extract from a letter dated 10 August 1960, from the Director, Geological Survey Department, British Territories in Borneo to the Acting Deputy Director, Jesselton Extract includes three possible subjects for research during the North Borneo, 1961, expedition. The subects are as follows: the geomorphology of the Lokan peneplain and adjacent ultrabasic mountains, the origing of the Keningau, Tambunan and Suk plains and the Padas Gorge, and the nature of dioritic rocks of the Segama River area.
