Resolved, that the Council be recommended to pay the P & O Steam Navigation Company their charge of £127.6.6 for passage money of Professor Tacchini and his Assistant, and for freight, although they do not admit their liability to the charge; and that the account when paid be transmitted to the Foreign Office, as a set off against his claim.
