Excerpt from Minutes of Council of 7 November 1878 read;
 ' Resolved - That this Report be received and adopted in principle.
   Resolved - That the Composition in lieu of Annual Contributions be abolished for Fellows elected in future.  
   Resolved - That the Officers be requested to prepare alterations of the Statutes in accordance weith the foregoing Report and Resolutions, in the manner prescribed in Chapter XVI of the Statutes. '</dc:description>
