Reviewed the situation generally, and the feeling of the meeting was in favour of two Research Fellowships rather than one Professorship 3. Dr J D Bernal, Dr. J D Cockcroft, Dr C D Ellis FRS, Dr E L Hirst, Dr W Hume-Rothery, Mr H S Patterson, and Dr S Sugden were put forward as possible candidates, and the proposers undertook to give fuller particulars of their nominees.
