2.     Exemption of Chemists - applications for exemption from Military service considered after referral by the Reserved Occupations Committeee
2.1   R Dodwell   Partner in the firm of Norman, Smee and Dodwell
2.2   A G Paterson  Employed by the Chemical supply Co. Barking
2.3   J A Ridgway  Employed by the Midland Chemical Co Stoke on Trent
2.4   C W Fish  Employed by the Turner Paper Mill
2.5   Norman Evans  Partner in Messrs Evans, Christian and Co.
It was agreed that;
1.   To recommennd R Dodwell,  A G Paterson,  C W Fish,  and Norman Evans for exemption under Resolution 3
2.   To recommend J A Ridgway for exemption under Resolution 3, if, upon enquiry, he is found to be in any other medical class than Class A

3.     National Physical Laboratory and Research Council 
        A letter and Scheme from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research with regard to the National Physical Laboratory was read and discussed. It was agreed - to call a special Council Meeting for 31 May to discuss this matter</dc:description>
