Letter from Archibald Geikie, Secretary of the Royal Society, to the Undersecretary of the Colonial Office, Whitehall Points out that there is no explicit mention of a subsistence allowance for Professor Minchin and his assistant in the conditions signed by Minchin, but thinks that Minchin was probably led to assume there would be some grant from the Uganda authorities.
